30's hair and make up

Today we had an amazing opportunity to try on and to learn how to do 30's hairstyle and make up during our lesson in Art uni.

We actually did authentic finger waves exactly the way it was done in the third decade of 20 century. We used a special liquid gel, which was prepared by our teacher. It is made from linen seeds. Using this kind of fixation protects your fingers from sticking onto the hair, while you can easily form the right wave. 

Another typical thing is the right makeup. And it's all about color richness - thin eyebrows, smokey eyes and a bright, usually dark lipstick.

THE MIDIS part II Caught in the middle

I feel like I am obsessed with them. Midi length is getting its positions set on the stage of high fashion world. And our goal is to bring it back to the streets. Flared, pencil - matter of taste and body type. Colors vary from brights to blacks.. aaaand my favorite beige, browns, greens and blues are under the spotlight this season. Trying to color up my autumn days from year to year I am very into chromatic these days, although it's hard to put something colorful on when it's raining and only getting colder.. I call it instinct of BLACK :D
So, as I promised a little shoot of my new vintage midi skirt I bought from Fankadelik

Today we've been to a "special" fashion show. It's an annual tailors' and constructors' fashion show of the Tallinn Technical University... Well, Technical says it all, but unfortunately we haven't seen something we expected to.

I thought constructors' collection must be a masterpiece of tailoring... the target is not to impress by something very extraordinary with a "drunk" stitching on the back of miniskirt. Apparently I was wrong.

Although the winner wasn't the one me and my friend suggested to be :D, at least she had the best sketch..
