2011 will be an important year for Queen. Immediately following the Stormtroopers in Stilettos exhibition BBC will air a major documentary featuring a rare interview with Queen band members, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Many other Queen events are expected to follow throughout their 40th anniversary year in 2011 such as a Queen film production starring Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury - filming is scheduled to begin in 2011. And yes, yes, Lady Gaga
New York, Oct 18 (ANI): Singer Wendy Starland, who discovered Lady Gaga has revealed that Freddie Mercury is the inspiration behind the transformation of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta into Lady Gaga.
“We had to create something that . . . would have a more theatrical type of appearance,” the New York Post quoted Starland as telling MTV News.
“We looked to Queen and Freddie Mercury and the song ‘Radio Gaga’ for inspiration,” she added.
In September, Starland filed a lawsuit in Newark federal court against Gaga’s former manager, Rob Fusari, for compensation allegedly promised for introducing Gaga to him. (ANI)
