Когда мне было 8 лет, я жила на Украине в городе Ужгород. Мой папа работал в Киеве и приезжал домой раз в месяц. Каждый раз я ждала его с гостинцем или даже с гостинцами. Обычно это были какие-то игрушки, сладости... иногда свежий "Киевский торт", но один раз он сказал, что не привез ничего. Я конечно немного расстроилась. На следующий день, папа зашел ко мне в команту, и протягивая огромную тяжелую книгу, сказал: "Не уверен, что тебе понравится этот необычный подарок. Не знаю, зачем я вообще ее купил, и поэтому отдам лучше тебе."

Это была книга о Сальвадоре Дали. Целыми вечерами я могла разглядывать его картины, недоумевая: "Папа, ну как ты можешь не видеть здесь лицо?!" Сама того не замечая, я стала его фанатом.

Queen celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Queen 40th Anniversary Events

Queen's first five album releases - "Queen," "Queen II," "Sheer Heart Attack," "A Night at the Opera" and "A Day at the Races" are being re-mastered and re-packaged into deluxe album formats due to be released in March 2011 by the Island Records label and will coincide with a major exhibition Queen Stormtroopers in Stilettos.
The exhibition is a retro tour through the career of the 70s and 80s rock band including the early part of Queen's career from the group members' pre-band days to their formation and their first five albums from the first half of the 1970s. The exhibition will run from February 25th through March 12th at The Old Truman brewery in the heart of London's East End.
2011 will be an important year for Queen. Immediately following the Stormtroopers in Stilettos exhibition BBC will air a major documentary featuring a rare interview with Queen band members, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Many other Queen events are expected to follow throughout their 40th anniversary year in 2011 such as a Queen film production starring Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury - filming is scheduled to begin in 2011. New York, Oct 18 (ANI): Singer Wendy Starland, who discovered Lady Gaga has revealed that Freddie Mercury is the inspiration behind the transformation of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta into Lady Gaga.
“We had to create something that . . . would have a more theatrical type of appearance,” the New York Post quoted Starland as telling MTV News.
“We looked to Queen and Freddie Mercury and the song ‘Radio Gaga’ for inspiration,” she added.
In September, Starland filed a lawsuit in Newark federal court against Gaga’s former manager, Rob Fusari, for compensation allegedly promised for introducing Gaga to him. (ANI)
