The place itself is situated in the southern end of Iberian Peninsula. It became a part of Great Britian in 1704. There is a legend which says that Gibraltar belongs to UK until macaques are alive. The famous Barbari Macaques habitate only on Gibraltar. Even until now the British goverment controls the population of these creatures, because according to the saying Gibraltar will be returned to Spain as soon as the last macaque dies.
As I stood for half an hour waiting for the macaques to appeare somewhere I decided not to torture myself but to simply buy a large chocolate Gibraltar penny with desired image on it..
